Systems Administrator

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for a Systems Administrator in Charleston, SC, to add to the internal IT team.

Do you have a passion for computers, networks, and pretty much everything information technology? If so, this may be a great opportunity for you to work with and get exposure to a broad range of technologies. As a Systems Administrator on the team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, provisioning new assets, installation/configuration and support of physical and virtual systems, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This position offers you an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.

Pay Scale: $60,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

You Will:

  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and networking problems
  • Install and configure computers, operating system, hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Build, configure and maintain on-premises and cloud-based datacenter infrastructure
  • Upgrade and configure system software and add new services as necessary
  • Apply OS patches and updates on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities as well as day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the established computer systems company-wide
  • Schedule and maintain system backups and database archive operations to ensure data/media recoverability
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
  • Conduct hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Update and maintain our IT inventory

You Have:

  • An Associate degree in Information Technology, or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with PC based workstations and laptops
  • The ability to multi-task and work independently
  • A desire to support end-users and handle related support responsibilities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to handle internal stakeholder requests

We’d Be Impressed If You Had:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Windows Servers
  • Experience with O365 and Exchange Services
  • Experience with Linux based OS
